Scott Brown

Chief Executive Officer

Scott holds an MS Technology and MBA from Pepperdine University. He completed his undergraduate work in computer science at UC Irvine and CSU Sacramento. He has served in several CxO and VP positions in management, engineering and marketing. Scott began his professional career doing NASA medical research for bone densitometry.

He also led the development of a revolutionary medical ultrasonic imaging instrument allowing nearfield dental and spinal imaging with Siemens Ultrasound.  Scott founded Wise Implants in response to work he had done with the principals of a European company and the revolutionary medical implant technology that had been developed.

Key Accomplishments of Interest:

  • Invented and held 5 patents in novel high-speed digital flow cytometry. Scott led the team that produced the first commercial all-digital flow cytometer, an advanced medical diagnostic device for microbiology at BD Biosciences
  • Designed, implemented, and produced a revolutionary bone mineral density analyzer for NASA that was successfully used to measure bone mass loss in microgravity, measuring astronauts pre through post-flight
  • Managed the development of a novel medical ultrasonic imager with advanced near-field resolution, purchased and now owned by Siemens Ultrasound
  • Participated in or managed numerous medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, successfully commercialized
